LIVE UNITED CELEBRATE UNITED NON-PROFIT EMPLOYEE FAIR

On Thursday, Oct. 1, - Live United Celebrate United - honored the work of United Way non-profit partner agencies in conjunction with their 2009-2010 Employee Campaign Kickoff.

The event, from 4:30-6 p.m. at The Friendship Center, 1888 Brother Geenan Way, Sarasota, was co-hosted by Senior Friendship Centers and United Way. It featured food, music, games, and donated prizes, and an opportunity for United Way partner agencies to come together to celebrate the good work they do in the community. These are difficult times for the non-profit community and this event provided an opportunity to recognize the employees who work so hard to make our community a better place to live. A great time was had by all!

Among the organizations involved in planning the event were The Friendship Centers, United Way, Salvation Army, Sarasota Family YMCA, Easter Seals of Southwest Florida, Girl Scouts of Gulf Coast Florida, The Florida Center, Planned Parenthood, Epilepsy Service of Southwest Florida, Suncoast Center for Independent Living, Girls Inc. of Sarasota County, Early Learning Coalition of Sarasota County, Community Haven for Adults and Children with Disabilities, and Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center (SPARCC).
